Terms & Privacy

Part A - Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 5 November 2026
These Terms apply to core-list.com and to databases, contact lists, digital files, samples and related products supplied through Core List USA by Core List Pty Ltd ("Core List", "we", "us" or "our").

1. Agreement and contracting entity

By purchasing, downloading, accessing or using a Core List product, you agree to these Terms. The contracting seller is Core List Pty Ltd, an Australian company. If you purchase on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. What we sell

Core List supplies business databases and related digital information products. Depending on the product, records may include business names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, websites, business categories, licences or registrations, company or business identifiers, group or banner information, and publicly available business or professional contact information.

The product page forms part of these Terms. It describes the particular database, its stated coverage, update date, fields and price.

3. Nature and sources of data

Core List may compile, organise, clean, standardise, de-duplicate, match, verify and enrich information obtained from government and regulatory registers, business and organisation websites, public business pages, industry and professional sources, publicly available directories, commercial sources and other lawful sources.

Business information changes continuously. Businesses may close, move, change ownership, change contact details or otherwise change after a database has been compiled. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a database is a snapshot of the information compiled or reviewed around the stated update date.

4. Licence granted

A purchase grants the purchasing legal entity a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the database for its own legitimate internal business purposes. This may include sales prospecting, business development, market research, territory planning, business analysis, CRM enrichment and direct marketing where lawful.

The purchase is a licence to use the supplied compilation. It is not a transfer of ownership in Core List's compilation, structure, formatting, categorisation, matching, enrichment or other proprietary work product.

5. Permitted users

Employees, officers and contractors working for the purchasing legal entity may use the database only for that entity's internal purposes. A contractor may receive access only where access is necessary to perform services for the purchaser, the data is used solely on the purchaser's behalf, and the contractor is not permitted to retain, reuse, sell or disclose the data for any other purpose. The purchaser remains responsible for those users.

6. No resale, redistribution or competing database use

You must not sell, resell, licence, sublicense, publish, redistribute, provide, transfer or otherwise make a Core List database, or a substantial part of it, available to another person or organisation without our prior written permission.

  • resell or commercially redistribute any Core List database;
  • provide copies to customers, related companies or unrelated businesses unless separately licensed;
  • publish the database online or upload it to a public or shared repository;
  • operate a directory, data service, search tool, API, SaaS product or other third-party-access product using the supplied data;
  • use the database to create, enhance or supply a competing contact-list or business-data product;
  • use substantial portions of the database to train or populate a system that makes the underlying records available to third parties;
  • remove proprietary notices or represent that Core List's compilation work is your own.

A licence purchased by one legal entity does not automatically cover another company in the same corporate group. Contact us if you require a group, redistribution or integration licence.

7. Samples

Free samples are supplied only so prospective purchasers can assess format and general data quality. Samples remain subject to these Terms and must not be resold, republished or incorporated into another commercial database.

8. Intellectual property and database rights

Core List retains all rights it lawfully holds in its original website content, branding, database selection, compilation, arrangement, structure, categorisation, cleaning, matching, enrichment, presentation and formatting. Nothing in these Terms claims ownership of facts or information that cannot lawfully be owned. Your contractual right to use the supplied compilation is limited to the licence in these Terms.

9. Buyer responsible for lawful use

Purchasing a Core List database does not constitute consent from any person or business in the database to receive marketing. You are solely responsible for determining whether and how you may lawfully contact each recipient and for complying with CAN-SPAM Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act where applicable, and applicable federal and state marketing and privacy laws.

A publicly available email address or telephone number does not necessarily mean the recipient has consented to marketing. You must maintain your own suppression, unsubscribe, consent and do-not-contact processes where required.

10. Accuracy and no guarantee of results

We take reasonable steps to supply useful products that are materially consistent with their descriptions. However, unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not guarantee that every relevant business is included, that every field is present, that every email or telephone number remains active, or that information will remain unchanged after the stated update date.

Core List supplies data, not marketing outcomes. We do not guarantee sales, leads, responses, appointments, deliverability, conversion rates, revenue or other commercial results.

11. Prices, taxes and payment

Prices are shown on the relevant product page and at checkout. Payment must be made through the payment methods offered at checkout. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a database purchase is a one-time purchase and does not include future versions or updates. Applicable taxes, if any, are handled as shown at checkout or on the invoice.

12. Digital delivery

Products are digital and are generally made available for download following successful payment. You are responsible for downloading and securely storing your file. If a technical problem prevents access to a purchased file, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to restore access.

13. Refunds and mandatory consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable United States federal or state law. Because our databases are digital products generally supplied immediately, we do not ordinarily offer change-of-mind refunds after access or download where permitted by law. If a file is corrupted, materially different from its description or inaccessible, contact us and we will assess the issue and provide any remedy required by applicable law.

14. Misuse and suspension

If we reasonably believe a database has been unlawfully resold, redistributed, shared, used to operate a competing data product, or otherwise materially misused, we may suspend further download or account access while we investigate. This does not limit any other legal rights or remedies available to us. Restrictions concerning resale, redistribution, intellectual property and permitted use survive download and termination.

15. Indemnity for purchaser misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for loss, liability, damage, cost or expense reasonably incurred by Core List as a direct result of your unlawful use of a database, unauthorised resale or redistribution, unlawful marketing communications, or material breach of the licence restrictions. This does not apply to the extent loss was caused by Core List's own unlawful conduct, negligence or breach of a non-excludable obligation.

16. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Core List is not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss arising from use of a database, including loss of profits, opportunity or campaign results. Where liability can lawfully be limited, Core List's aggregate liability relating to a particular purchased database will not exceed the amount paid for that database.

17. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy in Part B below. Purchasers must separately comply with their own privacy and marketing obligations when handling information obtained from Core List.

18. Website use

  • do not interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • do not attempt unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
  • do not scrape or systematically extract website content or product data without permission;
  • do not reproduce substantial website content for commercial use;
  • do not impersonate another person or use the site for unlawful or fraudulent activity.

19. Changes

We may update products, prices, website functionality and these Terms from time to time. The Terms applying to a purchase are generally the Terms in effect when the purchase is made, except where a change is required by law or separately agreed.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, subject to any mandatory United States federal or state rights or jurisdiction rules that apply. Nothing in this clause removes a mandatory right, remedy, consumer protection or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded.

21. General

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed to the extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to immediately enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the relevant product description, checkout information and Privacy Policy form the agreement concerning the purchase unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Part B - Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026
Core List Pty Ltd ("Core List", "we", "us" or "our") operates core-list.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information relating to website visitors, customers, enquiries and our business-data products.

1. Privacy framework

Where applicable, we handle personal information in accordance with applicable United States federal and state privacy laws. Because privacy laws can apply differently depending on the person, activity, location and type of information involved, references in this policy to a legal right or obligation mean that right or obligation where the relevant law applies.

2. Information we may collect

For customers and website users, we may collect:

  • name and business or organisation name;
  • email address and telephone number;
  • billing, order and transaction information;
  • communications and support enquiries;
  • account information where an account is used;
  • IP address, browser, device, operating-system and technical information;
  • website usage, page views, referral source, campaign and ecommerce interaction data;
  • fraud, security and payment-risk information supplied by our providers.

Complete payment-card details are generally collected and processed directly by payment providers such as Stripe rather than stored by Core List.

3. Information in our business databases

Core List compiles business information for business-to-business sales, marketing, research and related commercial purposes. Depending on the database, records may include business names, business addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, websites, categories, licences or registrations, company or business identifiers, publicly identified owners, directors or employees, and other business or professional contact information.

Business information may also be personal information where it identifies or can reasonably identify an individual, such as a sole trader, professional or named employee. We do not intentionally compile sensitive information such as medical information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or political opinions for inclusion in our general commercial business databases.

4. Sources of information

We may collect information directly from you when you purchase a product, create an account, contact us, request or download a sample, subscribe to communications or otherwise interact with the site. Business database information may also be obtained from government or regulatory registers, business websites, publicly accessible business pages, professional and industry sources, business directories, commercial research providers and other lawful sources.

We may combine, standardise, verify, de-duplicate, categorise or enrich information obtained from multiple sources.

5. Purposes for which we use information

  • process and fulfil orders and provide purchased digital products;
  • manage customer accounts, support and communications;
  • issue invoices and maintain financial, tax and business records;
  • prevent fraud and protect our website and systems;
  • measure website traffic, ecommerce performance and marketing attribution;
  • improve our products, databases, website and customer experience;
  • compile, maintain, update and supply business databases;
  • verify, match, correct and de-duplicate business information;
  • communicate about Core List products and services where lawful;
  • comply with legal, regulatory and dispute-resolution obligations.

State privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence and whether a particular law applies to Core List, you may have rights to request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, obtain a portable copy, or opt out of certain sales, sharing or targeted advertising. You may also have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable privacy rights.

California notice

California law can treat certain disclosures for monetary or other valuable consideration as a sale or sharing of personal information. Business-to-business personal information is not automatically excluded from all CCPA requirements. If the CCPA applies to a particular Core List activity, California residents may exercise applicable rights by contacting us at the email below. Additional notices or opt-out mechanisms may be provided where legally required.

Commercial email

The CAN-SPAM Act applies to commercial email, including business-to-business email. Purchasers are responsible for accurate sender information, non-deceptive subject lines, required advertising identification where applicable, a valid postal address, a functioning opt-out method and timely honouring of opt-out requests.

No assurance of consent

A record appearing in a Core List database does not mean that the individual has consented to receive marketing. Purchasers must determine what federal and state marketing rules apply to their intended use.

6. Google Analytics and similar technologies

We use Google Analytics 4 and related analytics technologies. These services may collect or receive information such as pages viewed, time and date of visits, approximate location, browser and device type, operating system, referring source, campaign information, ecommerce interactions and purchase events. We use this information to understand site performance, measure conversions, improve products and assess marketing effectiveness.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website and service providers may use cookies, tags, pixels and similar technologies to operate the store, maintain cart and checkout functionality, remember preferences, prevent fraud, measure traffic and conversions, and support advertising or analytics where enabled. Where applicable law requires consent for a non-essential technology, we will seek that consent before using the technology. You can also control cookies through browser or consent settings, although blocking necessary technologies may affect site functionality.

8. Payments and ecommerce providers

Our online store uses BigCommerce and payment providers such as Stripe. These providers may process customer, order, payment, fraud-prevention, technical and transaction information to provide ecommerce, checkout, payment, security, dispute and refund services. Their own privacy terms may also apply to information they process independently.

9. Disclosures to service providers and professional advisers

We may disclose or make information available to service providers that assist with ecommerce, payment processing, analytics, hosting, cloud storage, email, security, fraud prevention, data processing, verification, accounting and professional advice. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a business restructuring or sale subject to applicable legal requirements.

10. Business database disclosures

Where permitted by applicable law, business contact information forming part of a Core List database may be supplied to customers who purchase or license that database. Purchasers are independently responsible for determining whether their subsequent use of the information is lawful. If you believe information about you in a Core List database is inaccurate, inappropriate or should be reviewed, contact us at the email below.

11. International transfers and processing

Core List Pty Ltd is established in Australia. Personal information may be transferred to or processed in Australia, the United States and other countries in which our service providers operate. Privacy protections may differ between jurisdictions.

12. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps appropriate to our business to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Measures may include access controls, authentication, secure service providers, encryption where appropriate, backups and security monitoring. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy, including business operations, customer support, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute management and database maintenance. When personal information is no longer reasonably required and no law requires retention, we may delete, de-identify or securely dispose of it. Business database information may be retained and updated while it remains relevant to our database products and lawful purposes.

14. Your privacy rights and requests

Depending on the law that applies, you may have privacy rights available under applicable state law, which may include access, correction, deletion, portability and opt-out rights. To make a privacy request, email support@corelist.com.au. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit a request where permitted or required by law. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

15. Database correction, suppression and review requests

If information about you appears in a Core List business database, you may contact support@corelist.com.au to request access where available, correction of inaccurate information, review of the record, or suppression/removal where required or appropriate. Please provide enough information to identify the relevant record. A request may be refused where the law permits us to retain or use the information, but we will assess it in good faith under the applicable legal framework.

16. Marketing communications

Core List may send marketing communications only where permitted by applicable law. We will provide any identification, consent and unsubscribe mechanisms required by CAN-SPAM Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act where applicable, and applicable federal and state marketing and privacy laws. You may ask us to stop marketing communications by using the unsubscribe method provided or by contacting support@corelist.com.au. Transactional or legally required communications may still be sent where permitted.

17. Children

Core List products and websites are intended for business users and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly target children for the sale of our business databases.

18. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled personal information, contact us first at support@corelist.com.au with details of your concern. We will investigate and respond as required by applicable law. You may also have the right to complain to the Federal Trade Commission and applicable state privacy or consumer-protection authorities or another competent privacy authority.

19. Third-party websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of unrelated third parties. Review their privacy notices before providing personal information to them.

20. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our products, technology, service providers or legal obligations. The current version will be published on this website with its last-updated date.
