Getting My Online Brand into Retail Stores

Getting My Online Brand into Retail Stores

In business, there is always an opportunity for you to transition to something bigger and better. You may have started humbly, a rather small venture online, but eventually spread your reach to retail. Some businesses have had this kind of beginnings and this could easily be yours as well.

  1. Create a demand. If the retail stores are not realizing the demand for the product your are trying to offer, you can create a demand by employing your friends and family to inquire about your product a few days before you come in to make an offer. By doing this, they will be more open to do business with you, based on the “seemingly” increased demand for it.
  2. Give free samples. A good way to convince a retail store would be to start by giving them samples of your product, so that they can “experience” what you are trying to offer. This is most especially true if you are offering something new. You can give free samples and make them come after you for more.
  3. Give them 100% mark-up. Most retailers are only able to receive as much as 50% mark-up or even less, and this is not good for them. When you offer them 100% mark-up you make things more favourable for them, so doing business with you will be so much more interesting.

Sometimes in business you have to get quite creative. You need to do what it takes and if there is a demand for you to stretch the limit, you would.
